Men: if you were hugging a girl you liked, how would you hug her?

If she hugged you around the neck/shoulders, would you hug her high, around her shoulders and upper back or lower, near her butt? Or does it not really matter and you do whichever position feels more comfortable?

If she hugged me around the neck and shoulders, my hands would automatically go to her waist. Then I would put my arms around her back to pull her close. Her waist is too low for me to put my arms around.
