Initially he chased me and I rejected
Then I chased him and he rejected
Soon we thought we would be flings and no strings. He was on dating apps with no dates. I was loyal but he dismissed my love. And when he came to know I am flirting and going on dates irl, he acted possessive and all.
He never appreciated me when I was loyal instead hurt and humiliated me while trying to act like HUSBAND. He expected me to cook, treat him like king, wanted me to be loyal AF, while he flirted with other girls. The last was when he became doubting me. He would smother with questions like 'I am the only guy you kissed. You shouldn't do with anyone else' and so on.
Thus I broke whatever we had, and had actual sex, unlike he who offered sex and never did the deed. He was infuriated but I didn't care or whatever.
Now that I am a happy butterfly, enjoying my life, having sex whenever I want, flirting with whoever I like, getting treated like a princess, he is in my life.
He is my colleague, we are on different teams but see each other. He acts all fidgety initially, but now tries to talk. Tries to put things like handkerchief or watch on the chair next to me to grab attention. Getting on the same food queue but not talking a single word. All defensive when any male college talks to me , like looking at us, staring when a guy hugs me and once threatening a guy if they would ever hug me with employee conduct (Well it is common for people to hug there and many do), also coming and tying to talk but I dismiss.
Moreover I often find him looking at me. But so far none knows we had a past, but obvious there is something between us.

Ugh girl, this guy seems like nothing but drama! From the start, it was clear neither of you really knew what you wanted. But his behavior was never okay - dismissing your feelings but then getting possessive? Major double standards.
Sounds like now that you've moved on to happier things, he's feeling some type of way. Probably loves the attention but can't stand seeing you glow up without him. Typicalplayer mentality.
If I were you, I'd just keep it professional at work and don't indulge any of his games. Let him stare - you know your worth isn't tied to some dude who couldn't appreciate you before. Hold your head high, sis!
As for the past, just leave it in the past. No good will come from rehashing messy situations or letting him think he still has sway. You do you, he'll get the hint fast.
Wish I could come to work with you for backup, but I know you got this! Keep being awesome and he'll see what he lost real quick. His little tactics won't work on a strong chick like you. 💪
Yes it is ego. He likes to feel wanted but does not want to commit to you, because that is the only reason -- or one of the only reasons -- he is around you.
