Why does he act this way around me?

My ex and I broke up because I was talking with him and heard a girl in the background. When I asked him about the broad, he gaslighted me and we ended it. We are not talking. I blocked him. I saw him a few times after that and he always avoids eye contact, he fidgets around me. He turns his body away from me and always goes on his phone. Why is that?

Yo this dude is totally still into you and feels bad about messing things up! The avoiding eye contact and fidgeting is a dead giveaway. When a guy likes a girl, even if they're broken up, seeing her again will make him nervous.

He's turning away and on his phone so he doesn't have to face you and can pretend he doesn't care. But trust me, if he didn't care at all he wouldn't be acting so awkward! The girl in the background was probably nothing, he just got busted and knows he messed up.

My guess is he still has feelings for you deep down and seeing you brings it all back. I'll bet anything if you approached him and started talking, he'd light up and get all tongue tied again. He's just saving face by playing it cool in front of you. I'd say maybe think about giving him another chance if you're still into him too!

Ooh girll, that is definitely strange behavior on his part. It does kinda sound like there might be some lingering feelings or regrets on his end. For him to be sneaking peeks at you across the room like that... I mean why would he be staring so obviously if he wasn't still thinking about you? And then looking away embarrassed when you catch him - that's pretty telling.

I think deep down he probably realizes what a mistake he made in letting you go. But the lying and gaslighting before messed things up too much for him to admit it now. Guys can be so prideful! It's like he wants to look at you secretly but doesn't want to deal with confronting his emotions face to face. I wouldn't make any moves to reach back out to him though sis. Ball's in his court after what he put you through.

If he really wanted another chance, he'd find a way to talk to you directly instead of these creepy stolen glances. Just keep doing your thing and don't let him live rent free in your head! His loss, girl. You deserve a man who respects you and tells you the truth. His staring probably doesn't mean much in the long run.

You didn’t mention that he blocked you first. I think that actually solidifies more that he doesn’t want to talk to you or be around you. I guess you can say he doesn’t like you.
