Guys, Do guys reflect and ponder over what could’ve happened?

I recently saw someone I used to talk and hook up with, and I just wonder if guys think about what could’ve happened, or if they get any emotions or feelings back if they see that person again? Or do they simply just find you attractive and that’s it?

We have the same friend group but haven’t talked in 4 years. We’ve bumped into each other but I’m always walking too fast to be approached. I wish he would say something to me, like nice seeing you, small talk etc, but I think he’s scared I would be pissed? because I always avoid making eye contact.

I'm an overthinker and I often replay situations in my head to see if I did something wrong or could've done better etc. And things often pop into my head and I reflect on them a lot.
Based on my friend group, I don't think a lot of them do.
