Some men do but at the end of the day what it comes down to is trust. If I’m with a woman who has male friends but I know she’s with me because she genuinely loves me, not because I’m her only option. If deep down I trust her and know she wouldn’t ever do anything even if the opportunity presented itself she has too much integrity.

If at the end of the day she found someone else I would be able to trust her to tell me honestly and break it off. I think if someone has insecurities it’s a good thing to communicate like adults. Not try to control someone else at the end of the day both persons have the option to break off a relationship if something is a dealbreaker. Some people are looking for different things.

So maybe finding someone with a similar point of view is better if it’s not something that can be worked through. Now once you marry someone it’s a lot harder. In my belief once married unless it’s abuse or cheating or something along the lines of that you should stay married. But at the end of the day you don’t want to marry someone you aren’t happy with.

I know women who have other male friends and it doesn't make me jealous. The only time I've been jealous is when a woman wasn't  honest  about who a guy really was to her. I would notice she gave him more attention than she did to me especially with texts, and if she smiled while reading them. And if I would ask her about him she would say, "He's just a friend that's all." Even though you know she sees him as more, and later on you find out they've been sleeping together.

Humanity consists of women and men, and thus being engaged does not suddenly removes the other people belonging to the other gender. A man will certainly have some questions in his head about his wife's male friends, but then, the contrary may be as well true: the woman having questions about her husband's female friends...

That's just life, and sometimes things just happen due to particular circumstances and desires. Talking to, and caring about each other in confidence is a helpful key, as well as mental maturity, in the sense of expressing one's doubts and accepting to listen to honest answers.

The MAJORITY of men aren't friends with girls just to be friends. They are just keeping girls in their circle waiting for the chance to make their move. It's keeping their options open. I'm saying this as a guy.

When I'm a friend with a girl, I genuinely don't do that though. I put them in either the category of friend or romantic partner from the beginning. But honestly, most guys don't do that.

If you're giving emotional intimacy to another dude or getting things from that dude you could have gotten from your own man it will cause relationship issues.

I don't. My best friend of 25+ years and, since I have no family, primary heir is female. She is basically my big sister (by 13 months and three weeks) in all but genetics. i have dumped girlfriends for trying to force me to choose between them, whom I had known for weeks or months, and my "sister." so I'd be a hypocrite if I had a proble with her having male friends

Plenty of men do, sure. Especially if they are insecure. And it's for that exact reason that they may try to cover it up. They don't want to be perceived as insecure. They don't want to show weakness.

I do not get jealous and think you should have friends both male and female. Jealousy stems from a lack of trust and should be looked at in that way. Trust issues are a big red flag in any relationship
