My friend has been taking photos and videos of my a** without me knowing... Don't really know what to do?

OK, so... I'm absolutely mortified with what I've found on my friends phone and I don't know how to handle it, its so f**king weird!

He's got several photos and videos of me doing yoga poses. A video of me walking up the stairs, zoomed right into my a**. I've found one of him zoomed right in when I've been riding (my horse) and all you can see is my a** going up and down in the saddle whilst I'm trotting as well as several photos of me bending over, like picking the horses hooves etc.

I've also found some videos of people I don't know and have never seen before at the gym, again zooming in on their a**es! Women walking up stairs etc. Seems to have an obsession with tight, figure hugging clothing!

Is this even legal? I know taking photos up skirts is illegal but I'm not so sure about this? Should I report this? Ignore it? Confront him? I don't feel comfortable being around him anymore!

It depends if you live in a one party or two party consent state, and whether the pictures were taken somewhere where there is an expectation of privacy.

But even so, apparently you can get into legal trouble for taking pictures of women's feet, so I imagine the same thing applies to ass, even a clothed. But even it that's the case, without your face, you'd have to proof it's actually YOU in the picture.

Honestly, so many guys do this, it's just that usually they don't get caught or the girl doesn't say anything. Men like ass, what can I say.

If it's really bothering you, just talk to him about it, he'll probably feel embarrassed. But no need to report him to the police and ruin his life. It's just pictures of clothed ass. It's not like he raped someone or hid a camera in someone's bathroom. No need to ruin his life.

However, taking pictures of people without their knowledge like this is not normal. It's a violation of their privacy and if it is someone you know who is supposed to be a friend it's a violation of trust.

I wouldn't bother with any kind of legal challenge. I would just abandon him and not even tell him why. Block him and cut him off. It's unacceptable behavior.

If the videos were shot in public, they are technically legal. In terms of actual punishment or recourse, your options are limited. You could tell him to delete the videos of you and end the friendship, but at the end of the day, he's allowed to have the videos... as weird as that may be.

Whenever I read about "found on" someone else's phone my first question is "How and why were you snooping on that person's phone?"

To the legal: If in the USA and taken in a public place where there is no expectation of privacy, yes, the photos are legal. If not, you might have a case, but usually only civil and then only if he shared them.

Best solution: Ditch this "friend" as he's creepy.
