Why the fuck are so many guys shaving their legs all of a sudden?

I don't know if it's just my area, but all of a sudden I'm seeing 1 in 10 guys with shaved legs every single day. Perhaps that may not sound like that much, but before it was like 1 in 1000 guys. Aka almost nobody.

And that includes some of my friends and acquaintances too. I've tried ribbing on them for shaving their legs but they didn't seem to care and no one else took my side. Their girlfriends/wives like it too.

This sudden change is shocking to me because not that long ago things were the complete opposite.

Ah yeah. For that purpose it makes perfect sense. I think for some other sports like cycling or whatever they also do it. I don't really know anything at all about sports but it's what I heard some people say. I think it's mainly just swimming and cycling, though I could be wrong.

But outside things like swimming and cycling... yeah, I'm clueless, lol. There seems to be zero benefit and zero purpose otherwise.

Their body their choice pretty much, yeah. And ah yes, that's another thing. All the girlfriends/wives of my acquaintances and friends with shaved legs absolutely LOVE it. And the guys with shaved legs in public are all with their girlfriends/wives too, looking happy.

Shaving your legs used to be the least sexy thing a man could do in the eyes of a woman, but times are changing I guess.

As for pubic hair, that makes sense. Trimmed is more practical than bald because with bald the stubble comes really quick and feels really prickly. Also more likely to get ingrown hairs. So a trim is more than enough.

Don't know how literal you meant "you guys," but for the record I never said I personally did it, lol. Just that a lot of guys around me are. I definitely wouldn't do it unless I was paid at least $10,000 for it, if not more.

But in general, yeah, I do agree with you! I am straight and not attracted to other guys, but guys with shaved bodies just look... well, weird/cursed/creepy/whatever you wanna call it, lol.

Like in this case, I don't care how progressive we are, men should look like men and women should look like women.

I ve done because what I was doing risked leg injuries and easier to deal with if shaved. As well, when applying sunscreen, much easier to do and manage.

Certain sports like swimming and runningwill do it for aerodynamics/fluid-dynamic reasons.
I personally will take a #2 with my electric razor, to my legs, because cloth yanks on my leg hairs, and it feels like a bug crawling on me when the hairs flick off of each other and shave my ass because of hair yanking as well. It's just body maintenance.

Yea, I do actually shave my forearms, and its because of my martial arts. There are certain things we practice for grabs and holds that you have to try to break out of. Well I kind of realized when my forearms are smooth and I've got sweat on me, I kind of just slide right out of their hands so. Ngl, I actually think a lot of guys do something like that for a sport or whatever.

Yea though, people understand when I explain why, but I don't think guys that don't do sports don't understand that most girls actually don't like guys to be shaved. Unless the guy actually has a reason to do it.

I once had a flea infestation in my apartment and my legs got chewed up really badly, I look like a leper down there. Several months after finally getting rid of them, I could have sworn any movement of my leg hairs was a flea.

So I can understand shaving the legs for that.

I've heard that if parasites like fleas, ticks, bed bugs, and mosquitos went completely extinct they wouldn't even really make a difference in the food chain/ecosystem anyway.

Ah yeah. Clipping/trimming is one thing, but shaving is much more severe.

Plus, with shaving you often have issues like ingrown hairs and the hair coming back all hard and prickly.

Oh you'd be surprised. Being anonymous on the internet is just an illusion. Hackers can very easily find your IP address and leak all your personal information and all that shit. Doxxing and swatting are also a thing. Swatting being particularly dangerous.

I mean... naturally hairless is a possibility for SOME of them, but given the background of my area most of them are definitely shaving.

To give you context, in my area previously ALL men had noticeably hairy legs. And it was like that for years and years. But then more or less recently a bunch of guys with perfectly smooth legs showed up out of nowhere, and you can find them everywhere. And it's been that way for a while and it stayed.

And while obviously you don't really know anything about random strangers, several acquaintances and friends of mine who were previously hairy all suddenly had smooth legs. And I asked them if they shaved and they all said yes.
