Girls, What specific traits do women mean when they say a man is masculine?

I've had a number of women in my life comment that I'm a very masculine man. I've always understood that to be a compliment, but I'm curious about what they actually mean when they say that. What is it about me and what I do that makes them consider me masculine? I would ask the women who made the comments, but of course, the opportunities to ask have passed.

I figured that I would try asking you all now to get a few different perspectives on this. Ladies of G@G, which behaviors or traits does a man need to show you for you to consider him a masculine man?

Hmm without seeing and knowing you more I can't give you exact meaning based on you personally.

But a brief overview for me is:

Physically masculine = tall and broad. Possibly muscular. A strong man featured face as in not feminine. Not soft skin or small chin. A rugged angled face. Probably stubble or beard. A mannerism of how uoh walk and hold yourself. A look like you could protect a lady or defend yourself.

In behaviour masculine could be confidence and again that look like you are a protector. Can also be slightly more negative such as not very emphatic. A stubborn streak. A follower of "manly" pursuits like sports and cars and hunting. Rugged and silent. Not much finesse.

Hmm okay. It doesn't quite seem like as much of a compliment in that interpretation, but I could see why a woman would think that way. Thank you for sharing your thoughts

Haha I'm certain it is a positive compliment that was directed at you! And I only said negative because it sounds negative to say a man who is stubborn, rigged etc but it's not actually negative. Think of Thor from Avengers. He's very rugged manly and drinking and loud and not much finesse but he is strong and loyal and oooh yes I want myself a Thor guy lol

Being genuine, authentic in who you actually are not rhat you think people want. The confidence of that. Being secure in who you are no matter what.

Emotional Awareness and maturity. Being emotional but knowing how to recognize those emotions and how to handld them as they happen. Recognizing emotions in others as well.

Compassion and empathy.

Courage and integrity.

Any of that "alpha" bullshit is not what women view as being truly masculine.

It comes off as someone just watching too much Andrew Tate lol. It comes off insincere and manufactured and akso not ever what we truly want.
