Why would a guy not be as quick with his replies after seeming keen first time around?

So I matched with a guy 2 years ago on an app. After talking for a few days it just got too much as he wanted very quick replies. We stopped speaking.

it was on my mind & I then added in him on Instagram he accepted & requested back I just thought best to not get back in contact & left it.

fast forward I have the app downloaded & haven’t really been on it. I see that he liked me on there 6months ago! I accept and he messages 5 mins later.

we have spoken on phone & meeting soon he says we have busy schedules but he wants to put the effort in & I said I do too. We’re both really attracted to each other.

He replies properly but isn’t very quick with his replies like last time

Hmmm it's hard to say for sure girl, guys can be confusing sometimes! A few possibilities:

- He may have learned from last time that coming on too strong too fast doesn't always work out well. Going slower this time around.

- Could be genuinely busy, but also doesn't want to seem overeager again right off the bat. Playing it a little cooler.

- Might still be interested in you, but keeping other options open by not being glued to his phone.

- Possibly less excited now that the "chase" is over since you matched again. But wants to meet up so still hopes there's a spark.

I'd say give it a few more messages/days to get a better read. But for now, don't read too much into response times! You both seem attracted, so just focus on setting up that date and seeing how you vibe in person. Could all work out :) Let me know if slower replies keep bugging you though - I'm here to listen girl!
