My ex is my colleague. How to deal with this?

It began when he started liking me and I rejected and vice versa. Anyhow, he denied me sex. Thus I hooked up with others. He got too mad at this and we cut off contact. He would often shout at me when I talk to other guys or went on dates. Anyhow it ended on bad terms and he wished me luck finding love.

He keeps coming back and disappear. So I cut off all ties.

We met and he didn't talk. But made sure to sit right next to me and even asking another passenger to clear the seat so we can sit together. He constantly try to gain my attention.

Now at office he is my colleague and we are on the same team. I try to keep it professional however noticed him constantly looking at me, trying to initiate talk. I try to avoid as much as I can. But he seems to be more into me the more I avoid. Also gives out a scary stare to every guy who tries to flirt with me.

I hope all the other people that ask about dating coworkers take note of your post. This is pretty much what I go on about at great lengths when someone mentions they are into a coworker. It is not a good idea because what is happening to you now is the result that most people find themselves in. It is an awkward situation that detracts from doing your job at best. At its worst you now have a miserable work environment. I'm sorry that you are dealing with all the awkwardness. There isn't much you can do other than focus on your work and continue to ignore him. You can't control what he does and only what you do. So control the things that you can. The only other option is to talk to your immediate boss or HR department if it becomes harassment. Just keep things professional as possible and hopefully he takes the hint that you are not interested in anything other than work and being a good employee. Good luck to you.

How closely do you work? Is he at the same level as you are in terms of supervisory capacity, ie. he's neither your boss nor are you his boss? If you are at the same level and he isn't an asshole it could work. If he works directly with you esp. if he reports to you or vice versa it could be squirrely. Maybe having a candid convo with him would be good. Tell him that you're concerned about the possibility oif him poisoning the atmosphere for you and ask him if he has similar concerns. He might just say no to sound like he's over it but if he can open up you should be able to agree on detente.

Talk to HR and try to get on another team! Get another guy on your team or another girl to watch his behavior and report it

Nothing you can do as a girl but maybe try and play lesbian get him turned off but tha tonight back fire

If you can tell him to back off then all you can do is have someone do it for you! Bad spot to be at work. He probably begged to be on your team!

Talk to your boss and explain that you and he do not get along, and that it would be better for the company if you two were on different teams. Important to emphasize the good of the company and not your personal issues.
