Why would my boyfriend think that I could do better than him?

He is always there for me and afraid that I might leave him for someone else because he thinks I’m too pretty for him. Why does he feel inadequate? What is qualities does he think he lacks?

Your boyfriend seems insecure. Try to help him, if that doesn not help recommend him to go to therapy.

Insecurities can damage a relationship in the longrun it can stay like this or either get worse fact is at some point his insecurity will become true as you may want an equal partner not a doormatt at some point.

Your boyfriend has low self esteem. You should try to convince him that he is good enough.
