And no I don’t want to hear answers like „he has low self esteem“. I want to understand why men with low self esteem come to the conclusion that they are not good enough. Is it their looks, status, money, education etc?

There are many possibilities. That may be his way of reinforcing his need to be good to you, subconsciously realizing that you could easily go find someone else.

When I was in highschool that’s how I felt as well. Because I was too skinny and tall and would see other guys popular with girls yk
