How does he know it’s me, that I’m back?

There’s this guy; it’s always the same guy that makes new profiles and keeps answering my questions. I know him in person. He was a friend, years ago offline, but we lost contact after a big argument. He used to answer my questions every day and private messaged me regularly on my previous profile.

After staying offline for several months and closing my last profile on gag, I recently got a new one; started over, but made it less obvious with my alias and lack of pictures that it was me. He keeps answering my questions from multiple accounts again, just like he did last time. Is it likely that he knows it’s me? If so, how does he know? I got offline in the first place because I was trying to move on. We fell out because I’d wanted more than friendship and he hadn’t and he got mad that I wanted more.
