If someone stares at you from a distance and then says hi when you’re close enough, does that mean they find you attractive?
For context - I went for a walk on my lunch break at work. A few metres away, I could see my colleagues in the sales department coming towards me. There are only five of them in total, and one of them is a guy who I find attractive. I’ve never really had any interaction with him apart from eye contact and smiling, but he was staring at me from a distance away. When we got closer, he smiled and said hi.
Is there any possibility that he could find me attractive? I mean, I was glancing at him because I think he’s attractive.

This is what I'm talking about. Girls think a guy is into them for any little thing. That one moment is not enough to go by. You need to see consistent behaviors from him that would indicated he's seriously attracted. Maybe he said hi because he saw you look at him, who knows. Either way it's not enough to come to the conclusion you're coming to.
There have been other interactions, I’ve seen him look at me and then look away while smiling to himself. When he walked past me the once he was gazing at me with an intent expression. And then once as I walked away, I turned around and saw him staring at me with a smile on his face.
Then go ahead and find out why. Talk to him and see what happens. Maybe he'll ask you out.
People stare sometimes just because they either like my face or dislike my face 👀 so I just continue with my day 😊
It's a possibility, but what you described is hardly any solid evidence. Why don't you talk to him?
