Is he interested or?

I’ve no experience with dating and I’m feeling so confused with this guys behaviour I just need some help. I have no friends to talk to.

We went on a date that went very well, things seem to be good for the most part - but he is confusing me so much. He is a very dry texter and I’m not used to this at all, and sometimes if I have multiple messages he’ll only respond to one thing and ignore the other messages. He is a “blue collar” type guy and very busy with work, all the time it seems, he also has a business that he works on his days off. And so im torn, sometimes he’ll go all day and the only thing I’ll get is a “good morning” message, which I do appreciate still. Are some people really so busy with work that they don’t text regularly in the day? Or is he getting uninterested? But I literally just asked him he was still interested and wanted to continue talking yesterday, and he said yes! So why is he being so dry with texting? Do some people just not text much? I feel like no matter how busy a person is, they can find a few seconds to write a text… but maybe I’m wrong?

Please hear this because it will save a bunch of stress and heartache: most guys DO NOT enjoy texting. It is a very poor way to communicate and girls can't/won't seem to understand this. So most girls continue texting anyway and gripe about the guy being dry (even if they really vibe in person) no, no, no. Texting frequency, response time etc has little to do with how interested he is. Have you asked him how he prefers to communicate? Do what you like with this advice, but if you rely on texting as your primary means to communicate you will fail 100% of the time.

Texting is the only way I know HOW to communicate 😬 maybe that’s why this is seemingly so difficult to me , I need to learn not everyone is like that

It sounds like you're just used to different ways of communicating it doesn't mean he doesn't like you and yes he sounds busy. I personally like texting but a lot of guys don't so just meet up with him more and make your decision based on that.

What does this mean? Texting is the only form of communication I’m familiar with, besides talking to family in person sometimes. I’ve never had a friend and don’t know what’s normal I guess. Using texting to communicate isn’t normal?

Please ignore the negative comments on here… I think you like the guy but he may not feel entirely the same way about you.
Texting is such a simple tool that can make anyone feel connected and interested.
I would never ignore a text from someone I liked. If I ever did, they would have every right to lose interest in me

Sounds like you need to spend more time with him in person for the two of you to get to know each other better
