Person from other country believes I want to meet them. Is this abnormal?

I met a guy on a forum a couple of years ago and we barely ever talked. We’ve probably only texted 12 times. Randomly he texted me insinuating I want him to meet him. He phrased his sentence as if I was in love with him and needed him to come to where I am and like get a house in my city. Then, not too long after that, he texted me saying he wanted to fly over to my country and take me out. I know that if someone’s a weirdo I can block them. Especially if they are so far away. But I just need to know if that’s odd or suspicious or if they were just trying to be nice? I don’t want this question to make me seem dumb it’s just the fact they one day said something to me making it seem like they thought I needed to be dependent on them and have them move here and assumed I needed to be taken on a date by them that threw me off and I need to know if that’s eerie or if I’m crazy.

There's normal and there's reasonable. It's not unusual for someone to have fantasies of meeting some internet contact in another country. But it's rarely reasonable.
