Is it possible he ever actually had feelings for me?

. A couple of months ago I told my coworker I liked him and he basically told me he liked me to but wanted nothing serious and I told him that was fine. We ended up hanging out a lot, he was texting me everyday all day and I told him before we ever slept together that I changed my mind and I couldn’t do a friends with benefits things because I had feelings for him, when I said this he said he was actually starting to catch feelings for me too and that he would take whatever relationship I’d throw at him. He would do things like hold my hand and kiss my forehead.. just things I didn’t think friends with benefits did. A few weeks later we ended up going to scarywood (theme park with multiple haunted house and rides and stuff) and before that we went out for sushi and than when we left scarywood we went back to his house and I slept with him, ever since than he has been acting different towards me (being more distant and cold) so I told him we can’t do that again and he seemed slightly upset but was fine with it and told me that it’s important to him that we remain friends. I have just been a mess since all of this, he still talks to me everyday and we work together and he’s respectful he’s not flirty or anything he’s nice to me and all that and tonight we went zip lining together and it was just completely friendly nothing intimate besides he hugged me when we said bye and that was it. But I’ve been so upset ever since this situation played out the way it did, I don’t hate him cause he told me from the start what it was. I just feel like I wasn’t good enough for him. Is it possible he ever actually liked me
