If a guy suddenly talk to me in a cutesy voice?

Background: have a somewhat young-sounding voice and due to the way I pronounce, I have been told by quite a few people that I sound cute.

One day, I was greeting "Morning" to my part time job boss (31 year old) who knows I like him, and is trying to keep his distance from me. Suddenly, he replied "Morning" in a cutesy way that was totally unexpected, unheard of and unlike him.

In fact, he was taken aback by it too and quickly repeated in a his usual normal tone.

What could be the reason for his sudden behaviour?

Hmm that is really weird/unexpected behavior from your boss girl! My guess is his feelings for you may be stronger than he wants to admit, even to himself.

A few possibilities for the cutesy voice thing:

- He heard your sweet tone and couldn't resist matching it subconsciously cause he thinks you're cute too

- Knowing you like him, being all flirty and flustered in the moment made him slip out of his usual cool, professional persona

- Maybe hearing your voice first thing in the morning triggered a fantasy or daydream about being more than coworkers

Guys don't usually act silly for no reason! His guard was down for a sec and his true feelings peeked through. Now he's backpedaling hard cause dating you could get messy.

I'd take it as a sign he's fighting some serious attraction, sis! You should maybe think about making a move if you want more. At least figure out how he really feels before writing him off. Good luck girl!
