Ever had some random dudes you don't even know go up to you in public and try to "convince" you about how they're not gay?

TL;DR At the bottom.

For me, one particular case comes to mind. The setting was at a bar. I was sitting down, he sat down next to me, then tapped on my shoulder, and the conversation went something (obviously not exactly) like:

Guy: I'm not gay.

Me: What?

Guy: I am NOT gay.

Then I just sort of nod my head slowly.

Guy: No I'm serious bro, I'm really not fucking gay!

Me: Okay... and what exactly do you want me to do with that information?

Then he's screaming and on the verge of tears.

Guy: Dude I'm serious! I am not fucking gay, never was, never will be!

Me: Okay dude you need to calm the fuck down. Whether you're gay or not I really don't give a shit. Not sure why you're telling me all this.

Guy: I just think it's important for everyone to know that I'm not gay!

Me: Okay then. You are NOT gay. I get it. You are 100% straight. No need to keep repeating yourself.

Guy: Yay you finally get it dude! Have a good day!

Then he finally gets up and moves away from me, leaving me alone. Thank God!

This case was easily the most ridiculous one. But there have been a few others. Like two guys who went to a restaurant and kept reminding everyone near them they weren't a gay couple and were just friends, but at least they only said things once to each person and didn't repeat themselves.

I live in a pretty weird area that has a lot of homophobic people. That's probably why this happens.

I'm starting to think maybe some of those guys were repressed gay people, and that's why they were so adamant about telling people they're not gay.

TL;DR For me what happened was this random guy at a bar came up to me and started talking about how he's not gay and even crying about it, even though I really couldn't give a shit one way or the other.
