Guys, Why would he stare if he has a girlfriend?

There is a guy who started staring and smiling at me when we were in the same vicinity. When I made the first move and said hi, he smiled even more but then ignored me for a little bit after that first interaction.

Now, we comfortably stand and chat. He holds eye contact and stares into my eyes as we talk. Aaaaand as we were talking today, he dropped his girlfriend into the conversation.

Why would he stare at me like that and then mention his girlfriend?

Chances are he doesn’t like you in that way if he mentions he has a girlfriend on purpose. Just cause he’s looking into your eyes while you two talk doesn’t mean he’s infatuated w you. I always look people on the eyes when I talk. Some don’t because they’re shy, lack confidence or it’s considered rude in their culture to look someone directly in the eye. Maybe there’s a slight chance he likes you. But I’m wondering if he said that to you cause he got the impression that you like him more than someone you met.
