He might have wanted to look into his situation after being rejected. Or he might just be a big stalker.

He might have wanted to see the result of his rejecting!
What was he expecting? I’ve posted mainly about positive things about my life
he wondered has anyone else in your life, If you had posted something that hinted that there was someone new in your life, he would have gotten jealous and contacted you.
In fact, he would like to see you destroyed and unable to recover from that.
I don’t he’s a good guy he wouldn’t think like that. Also do you think he’s not over me?
This doesn't mean he didn't forget, it's just a check.
I think you are expecting him to communicate a lot, forget about it and focus on your life.
