Why did my ex did not unfollow me on IG?

It has been 2 months since the breakup, my ex has not unfollowed me on insta, neither has he removed me as his follower, however I noticed he is no longer watching my stories and hid his stories from me, he still follows some of my friends and family and talks to my brother on IG.

We saw each other from afar at a concert and he waved and gave me a real kind smile. Then I ran into one of his friends and even though I never mentioned him, when he asked me how I was doing and I told him a little bit meh (bc I was kind of tired during the concert) his friend kept saying "Everything will be alright, trust me, I know why I'm telling you this"

Goodness. You are my age or older and can't figure this out? This stupid follower crap has to stop. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see a question about following, followers or whatever. Godness don't place so much emphasis on social media! It is crazy and you are my age! Do you have nothing better to do than obsess about this? After all you dud make an online account to ask so it must be that important to you. The best question is can ask is why are you consumed or concerned with an ex? An ex is an ex and is left in the past. That is, expect for you. I'd like to close my asking why you ask anon. You already are because you already are anon. We no nothing about you. Why hide behind anon instead of stand behind your words?

A lot of times men aren’t as petty like a lot of women when it comes to things like this. To men. It’s not that big of a deal when you don’t unfollow your ex. Not always the case but guarantee you a lot of men may still have old numbers of their exes in their phones. There’s a few reasons for that. One again it’s not that important to have to delete her. Two he may try to hit her up one day for sex. There’s also a possibility that he’s thinking maybe one day they will get together again, especially if he wasn’t the one who broke up the relationship. It’s possible your ex still likes you, especially since his friend made that comment. At the same time his friend making that statement could just be very optimistic about things turning out ok post breakup. Not necessarily that he means he knows something about your ex that will bring you two back together.
