I used to share memes and wishes to my crush at different occasions. He sometimes replied and most of the times didn't respond at all. He was my batchmate. One day I wished him Valentine's and he straight away blocked me. Now I'm having a guilt trip that I made him that much irritated that he has to block me.

It all depends on what your message was phrased and how it was perceived by your crush. Also, a crush is usually a one-sided affair and seldom reciprocated.

There are 2 options I see here.

1. He felt insulted or in any other way disturbed by what you said and how you said it and

2. He has a crush on another person or a girlfriend and he does not want her to see that Valentine's wish because of possible conflicts.

Whatever the reason for his blocking is, it is childish and not really nice towards a person that (hopefully) intended not to insult or irritate him.

Then I am sorry for you but your crush is seriously lacking maturity. One does not block a person that is nice enough to send wishes for Valentine's.

As to what you should do, the only thing I can come up with is to meet in real life and clear that misunderstanding on a face-to-face basis. He may have his reasons for blocking you but he should have the decency to let you know why.

Maybe you can try to fix it but for that you need a face-to-face conversation. Tell him that his reaction made you feel sad because you did not intend to be disrespectful, impolite or clingy and that you only wanted to wish him a happy Valentine without any intentions to upset him. Good luck.

Not much you can do if he blocked contact with you. You move on. I know that isn't the easiest but you can't force another person to listen to you or unblock.
