Why did he tell me he was home?

My boyfriend didn’t text back all yesterday he finally did at 1 am telling me he was just getting home? I texted him asking about plans for the weekend and he never responded to that he just texted me saying he had just got home

Because his wife/other girlfriend needed him? I dunno. Until you are in a situation where you spend most of your free time together/around your SO, you never know.
