The reasoning is simple. The more similar to me someone looks, the more I assume we have in common. The more in common, the easier to communicate.

If I love rock climbing and I see someone in full rock climbing gear? Easy.
If I have never even had a water mark tattoo and see someone with full body tattoos? Pretty difficult to see the opening.

Obviously in reality it doesn't raise the difficulty that much. But talking to someone who shares a favourite band with me on a concert or something? Dumb levels of easy. Someone with wildly different taste in a setting where I am unfamiliar? Pretty intimidating.

Yes I've actually messaged a few Indian women before and I agree they are very good dating material, I still keep contact with one but she's always studying 😂
