Guys, Are White guys scared to approach Black women?

So, I'm an equal opportunity dater. I love men of all races. I'm very friendly and approachable but I

notice that White guy's will stare, but that's about it. In my whole life only two have let me know they were interested. One of them said that White guys are intimidated by my looks and curvy figure. Say it ain't so. Lol. Please share your experience/opinion and suggestions.

I'm an immigrant from eastern Europe living in North america. Majority of people from eastern Europe are pretty racist and a lot who aren't vocal about it are also racist but don't want other people to know, sad to say but its the truth. They would be friends with you but nothing more than that. I'm not like that but my family would be very much against it but I definitely wouldn't mind dating a black girl. This is the biggest reason why not when it comes to my friends which are mostly from eastern Europe. Some of them would be ok but a lot wouldn't because of the influence from their parents. It's the truth this is from my experience. Another thing is culture of black people is a lot different than most white people. It takes a lot to overcome that, there will be lots of struggle in the family since my parents would want the kids to inherit our culture but your parents would want them to take their culture. It takes two very open minded people if you want anything serious from it. Also black guys to me are in general much more intimidating and I always felt like black girls prefer that macho feel since white guys generally don't look as intimidating not just looks but mannerism as well.

Black women want love, affection, understanding and attention. We're not necessarily looking for an aggressive man. And the world has painted Black men as aggressive, when that's not necessarily true.

Just like RedThread commented, I am shy around most women, so black, white, Asian, Hispanic, it doesn't matter. I probably wouldn't randomly approach right now. If I got to know you through friends or through some sort of meetup, then who knows, but just walking up to you during the day or at the bar? Probably not, unless you were sitting close to me and showed signs of interest.

As a white guy who has dated black girls I will say that most white guys are not afraid of approaching black girls... though many will refrain from doing so for other reasons.

i imagine some white guys are scared (or more nervous) to approach black women. i'm sure some people of all races are nervous to approach people of other races. heck sometimes boys or girls are just nervous to approach a person they may want to date

It’s a cultural thing more than anything, and bad race relations. Many black women were raised around the rap and hood scene so most white men don’t want that in a girl. They’re also afraid they won’t be accepted in your family. You seem like a nice black woman so you’re the type of black girl I would feel more comfortable to approach.

Lol. It depends on their background. I have black friends , who were raised in the suburbs. I was raised in the hood, but I am not a product of my environment. White people don't like rap?

Not at all. Race doesn't matter, I mean yes, people have preferences. Also to add to that, most white guys find a "ghetto" personality unattractive, so that's something that should be taken into consideration.

Why should I have to show that I am interested? Black women aren't even generally approachable if you're a white male. Mainstream media, Tumblr, Twitter etc. show plenty of black women think that whites in general are disgusting.

You let media dictate your actions? What you have to understand is this. In our community, Black males go for what they want. If they're attracted to us, they let it be known. So we're use to bring pursued, not playing the guessing game. If you see an attractive Black woman, try complimenting her. Strike up a conversation. We're not that much different than other women. The media just portrays us in an artificial light. The one White guy that wanted me, high jacked my phone number and pursued me. We've been friends ever since.

I don't think you understand. So what you have to understand is this. Black women tend to judge white guys before they even get to know them. So black guys don't have to go through half the steps that we have to. I've tried talking to plenty of black women, most I've met have a superiority complex or don't trust or respect men with white skin. Maybe it's different where you are from and if that's the case good for you. But I've lived in Australia and travelled all around Europe and there are no interracial relationships here. I have black friends, but they aren't even interested in white guys and instead are jaded that there isn't enough good looking black men around.
