Why would a guy flirt with me when he knows I’m married?

A guy I know has started flirting with me quite a lot, why does he bother when he knows I’m married. He does the following:

Checks me in regularly

stares and engages in locked eye contact, he doesn’t look away. What does that mean?
Light teasing/banter

Sits really close to me when talking, leans right in.

At times gets a bit nervous and fidgets when one to one

stutters at times when talking one to one, like he looks at me (stops talking) recollects his thoughts and talks again.

Thanks for your insight this is really helpful. Yes it definitely feels different to how other guys interact with me. The close proximity thing feels a bit strange as it’s pretty close.

Some guys are just naturally flirtatious. That's just how they are. Also if there is sustained locking of eye contact than means you're participating too.

It is pretty clear although he knows you are married he continues flirting with you do this means he think you tend to cheat on your husband. I think you should insult and treat him like he is a shit so that he could understand it is impossible for you to cheat on your husband.

Yes I know what you mean. I guess the close proximity thing is a bit weird in that I don’t have that with other male friends. It definitely feels close, almost like he wants to touch me I guess.
