I have been talking to this guy for a week and a half. The conversation was amazing. Never a dull moment- morning to night. Both of us never letting the conversation get flat or still. Lots of silly and witty and flirty banter. So I slept with him. We both enjoyed it so much we went multiple rounds. He asked me to spend the night and more rounds in the morning. Hugged me goodbye. I texted him like we had after and there was a response but it felt distant. Then I asked about his day. He responded but distant. He wasn’t keeping the conversation going. Now on day two- he was sending me good morning texts and memes/reels now nothing. Not a word at all for the first time since we started talking. I’m the last one to text so I don’t want to be the only one pushing the conversation. What happened? Why is this once charming, interesting and interested man, just not talking to me after?

Unfortunately it sounds like he treated you as a conquest, got what he wanted and left. In my opinion this is such a shitty way for men to get laid, because of the disingenuous way they went about getting it. For all the women out there who would willingly have sex with men like him, they want the ones who are actually looking for something serious one day. Maybe it makes them feel better morally to have a deeper connection before sex, I don't know, regardless though it’s sick and it’s cruel.


Anyway, a good rule of thumb is to make peace with your decisions involving men before letting them play out, because realistically you never know what’s going to happen with a guy. It sounds like he swept you off your feet saying all the right things, but so soon into the situation you were still getting to know him and if sex is important to you in the sense that you only prefer having it with a guy you’re actually seeing, then wait for that milestone to happen, should be about 2-3 months.

This is quite simple. He played you to get in your pants. It worked and he got what he wanted and likely has moved on. What else does he have to gain from you now that he slept with you? That's the type of guy this seems like. Turns on all the charm in the world to get you into bed and then once he achieved his conquest tosses you aside. I figured someone that is almost 40 would know this. It isn't hard to see what he was after and why all of a sudden the change in heart towards you. This should be lesson learned that you dont hook up with people that quickly if you don't want to be used like that. Now you will have it in the back of your mind that any guy acting nice is going to do the same thing.
