Guys, do you actually mean it when you say to a girl that you’ll wait for her?

Like let’s say a girl is going through a really hard time in life and you guys are in the talking stage but then she cuts things off with you because she needs to be more okay with herself before jumping into anything. After she does that, you tell her friend you’d wait for her. Do you mean it?

I could wait. Doesn’t mean I won’t play the field while I’m eating. Who knows maybe it takes her a few years. Very few men would wait a few years going w out sex. But it ball depends on the type of man he is as well. If he’s someone who doesn’t have much of a choice of women, maybe never had a girlfriend, then he may wait a while. But I doubt a lot of men would wait.

I can’t speak for others but I would wait if I said that. However I am not sure how long. i would wait especially if she cut all communication with me. If she still talked to me then I would continue to wait.
