I’ve heard women want men they can’t have. Is this true?

Someone told me that women want to sleep with men that are taken because they want what they can’t have. Is this true?

I worked in an office with 7 or 8 women and I got a lot of interest from our clients and some of their friends. We would sometimes go for drinks on a Friday night and they were the best wingmen or wing women. I think when women see you interact with other women and get along it shows your not a douche and it goes a long way to make you look datable

It can seem that way sometimes. Like if you lose interest in women and go your own way suddenly they all seem interested in you. It's probably just an illusion though, you don't want their attention so they're just annoying now. Maybe they're not any more interested than before it just seems that way. I'm not sure.

For some yes. They like the challenge and drama. But for many it's not all that true. A mature, secure woman wants a man of her own.

I think this applies to almost everything in life, not just gender or dating or whatever: people want what they can't have, the grass is always greener on the other side, etc.

Things you don't have are both tempting and alien to you. Even if they actually suck, you still desire what you don't have. When things come easy you don't care. When something is hard then you want it.

Obviously not everyone is the same, but just a general rule.

I think that's at the heart of it. There area few places I go on Friday nights. I'm generally quiet, an introvert. I don't like people all that much, LOL. But I'm tall, fit, and well dressed. I get approached by women all the time. Single women, married women. Women slightly younger, women a lot younger. Groups of women. And I'm not doing anything to actively encourage them. Quite the opposite.

I say "actively" because what seems to drive them nuts is my silence, my refusal to engage with anyone most of the time. I've had cold approach comments like "you look like you could be an assassin". Or, "you must be really confident". And on and on and on. It drives them nuts seeing me there for years and none of them knowing anything about me.

Then a buddy shot his mouth off to a group of them about my background about a year ago. Something I've asked him to not do. It was just enough to light a fire in these women and trigger their curiosity even more. They have been relentless. I'm a novelty. An oddity. Someone they've never met in their suburban housewife lives. A guy they don't understand and can't get to open up.

I'm not anything special. I'm just something new and interesting outside their experience. They want to know more. And I don't want to be their entertainment. The more I resist the more obsessed they become.
