Boyfriend kept his old crushes phone numbers?

My boyfriend of 3 years told me he has old crushes phone numbers that he liked many years ago. He said there is nothing wrong with keeping their #, because he’s never going to reach out to them and if they do he won’t do anything. Am I being insecure here? Yeah, he’s never reached out to them and he said he would never cheat on me but I think it’s weird… What do you think?

Yes, you are being insecure.
Look, a relationship is based on trust. Trust on who he is and, most importantly, how he treats you and not on anything else.
His past is HIS past, not yours and how he interacts with it is his business so long as he doesn't do anything unethical in the relationship that would violate the trust.

Let me put it to you like this:
The cops don't arrest people who have fantasies about killing someone they hate.
The cops arrest them once they do the crime (or attempt it).

As long as your boyfriend doesn't "commit a relationship crime", then no harm is done.

That said, if you can't deal with the stress that his past exists and is accessible (like having her number), then you need to move on and work on your own insecurities.

He still likes to think about them. I do not think you are being insecure but I do not think it is weird. I kept a box with letters from old girlfriends. I think after I was married for about 3 years when I finally threw it away.

Most guys never dust off their digital. I have old phones of people I haven't spoken to in a decade. It's meaningless. I just never thought to delete them.
