Why does guy coworker smile and wave at me coyly?

As in I’ll walk past his desk with another coworker and he’ll make an effort to turn around tilt his head slightly to the side and smile and wave coyly. He does it often at me. I have seen him look at me often when I talk to other people too, like he can’t help but look.

Maybe he's trying to show you that he is fond of you and is gauging your reaction on whether or not to ask you out.

Yeah ok thanks for this. He does it quite often but it seems different to someone you just wave too from a distance who you know.

If you don't react then he may stop but is probably hoping you're gonna take the next step and show interest or not.

Kinda like tilting his head to the side and raising his hand slightly but not in a full on way with a. Coy smile. Not sure how to explain it, but he does it often,
