Were you ever in a relationship with an addictive Gambler?

Some people don’t know when to stop and allow Gambling to take over their life and put themselves in a deep hole. Lucky for me I never let gambling take over my life , I like to gamble for fun , hoping to win of course , but if I don’t win I know when to walk away and know my limit , sadly some people can’t stop and go way over their limit. I grew up in south New Jersey and I was very close to Atlantic City , my parents’ were gamblers but they knew when to stop , For whatever reason my Dad had Lady Luck on his shoulders and he won a lot of money a bunch of times , My parents taught my brothers and I on how to gamble and how to walk away , I even had assemblies at school that taught us to not let gambling to take over our lives , they would have an addictive Gambler come in and scare us about gambling , the one guy showed us his hand and he was missing fingers and told us how gambling ruined his life. One of my exes had a gambling problem and she didn’t know when to stop , she would steal money from me to gamble and that’s when I ended that relationship.
