I know this will sound very superficial and that's exactly what keeps me from actually asking any one of the intelligent and competent men that I know. I just can't care about polite and handle feelings with kid gloves trying to dance around how insulting this question can potentially be, trying to get a straight answer.

Quite often, I have become well aware of a certain type of man being into me because he isn't quiet about it. There is always certain flirting that is testing the ground. The same kinda guy. Mostly.

Now, I don't think that I'm unattractive or unappealing, or seem desperate or am not respectable. I have standards and carry myself well. Most times. I'm quiet and hard to get to know, a bit intimidating. Yet the only guys that show interest are below average men. I mean, men that are not very attractive by anyones standards, homeless, jobless, carless, felons, baby mamas *plural* ... And it's these types of men that continue to think they have a chance with me.

Why? They full heartedly believe that I am into them and act like it... I don't think I've ever had a guy even in the same level even try. I mean this is online and in person.

Well in all honesty more than likely you’re not deserving of the men you think you are. Women tend to inflate their worth, especially these days w social media where every chick can get online getting likes from random men. So their ego gets inflated cause they think I have all these men after me I must be top tier. When in reality it’s usually that these men just want to fuck you, not so much be in a relationship w you. Sure you may be cute, but if all you’re putting out there is your looks, chances are you’re not going to get the men who want a respectable female. You’re not the type of female high profile men go after cause you exhibit no real qualities other than your looks. I don’t know what your end goal is? To get married? Be a wife? Have kids? If so you need to show those types of qualities that a valuable men can see in you that he’d want to pick you. You could say I’m smart, I’m funny, I’m loyal, etc, etc, but pretty much all the equalities you think you have are pretty much the same qualities all women think they have. Something has to be different about you to stand apart from all the other millions of women on this planet to be chosen.

Most likely you have an inflated sense of your own "level."

The reason men of your own "level" never show interest in you is because they're not of your "level." They're significantly above your "level."

There are aspects of your personality or appearance or history that put you at the same "level" as homeless, unemployed felons with multiple baby mamas.

Yeah absolutely know what you’re saying. Not approaching means limiting your options. The men you want to approach you are getting hit on all the time as well as many times are taken as well as have women around them. It’s men who are desperate or the few who are attractive who are just out to get laid.

So you’re right this is a VERY common thing. The men who need to go up to random women are either men wanting sex and/or men who can’t get someone easily. Same with online dating because the men who want as well as can seek genuine relationships tend to go for people they can trust and already know. Not to mention as I said before women flirt with them. It just happens…
