Today one of my coworkers was like “you look so pretty today” and I said thanks and my other coworker started laughing and was like “today” and the girl who said I looked pretty today laughed and was like “No I mean you look pretty everyday. Today it’s extra pretty” and she was like insistent on it. I’m usually a pretty put together person but yesterday my hair was done and I had a nice shirt on. What did she mean by that?

I personally never tell someone they are pretty for this exact reason. They will think I didn't think they were pretty before. Makeup, hair, and clothes dones will always make someone "prettier"
