I made things awkward?

I stepped outside my class because my nose was running and I wanted to blow it. Then I saw this guy from my school, I didn’t want to take my mask down and do it infront of him. Because there was a lot of snot dripping down. So I just stood there awkwardly and he was looking. Then I looked on both sides of the hallway then took out the tissue and blew my nose when he left. He probably thought I was weird just going outside my class to stand there watching him and looking around. What should I do when J see him tomorrow?

Say hello. Don't bring up your real reason for staring at first. He might have been looking at you also feeling awkward. You do not know that he thought you were weird. That is your own appraisal. When you see him, say Hi. I noticed you yesterday. and let the natural conversation go. Maybe mention that you felt awkward, he may tell you he did too. Just try to be positive and at some point you can make a joke of how you had to blow your nose but felt self conscious. This is the problem with this mask culture we have to deal with. You can't see someone smile. Best of luck. Let me know how it worked out.

Don't mention it. Its a simple enough thing that it wouldn't be captivating his thoughts. If he sees you again he might briefly think "that was a little odd" but his thoughts will soon move on to other things and within a few days, if not sooner, it won't be on his mind at all.

Alternatively, if it seems like it is on his mind and he's acting awkward about it, you can just tell him you have to blow your nose and you don't like blowing your nose in front of others. It's not weird and I'm sure he'd understand.

I am sort of having a little sport with you, Sorry, about that. Just don't worry too much about this. Everyone has to blow their nose sometimes. It just means you are human.

There is nothing wrong with saying "sorry if I weirded you out yesterday". It shows respect and concern for other's feelings. Then just say you'll see him around and move on with life.

Just don’t worry about it. He probably won’t remember it. Maybe it felt awkward, but it wasn’t as awkward as showing him the snot running down your face.

If you like him say hi, if you don’t then it does not really matter.
