Is it flirting if a guy goes out of his way to open the door for you?

I was in a white neighborhood and when I reached the cafe door, this guy who was about to head out the door, deliberately stepped back into the cafe, swung open the door for me with effort. I told him that he didn't have to do that for me and he could just come on out. But he insisted. I blushed and said "thank you so much". I couldnt make eye contact cuz I was shy. He was a handsome man.

I don't know if this is a flirting move or if its just him being super nice. I notice its usually men who have done this for me in the past rather than women

If holding doors for strangers is flirting, I'll have to stop doing that because I don't wanna give the wrong idea! /lighthearted jokeBut jokes aside, he probably just wanted to be a thoughtful, kind man. Or maybe it was just his brain clicking to open the door for someone else automatically. (I do this even when the person behind me or on the other side is a little further away than I thought, so I just stand there for an extra 5+ seconds waiting for them to speedwalk past me LOL)

he wasn't just holding the door for me. Read what he did, he was a grand gesture. He was walking out of the door, then went back in so that he can RE-OPEN the door for me.
Doesn't sound like something you'd do for most people on a regular basis.

The way he held the door for me wasn't any good old door holding. It looked like a grand gesture

I do this all the time especially if hands are full/they're elderly/etc.. some guys just have basic manners
