What does it mean when a guy opens a door for you?

When I was walking to my class this cute guy in my class started walking in front of me, he looked at me and the looked again and then turned his head and talking to his friend. Well I overheard him and his friend talking and he said to his friend "she's so sexy". His friend asked who and then he turned and looked at me and his friend did so as well. When I reached the door to go into class he opened it and I was waiting for him to go inside in front of me but instead he held it open so I can go in before him. What does it mean If a guy opens a door for you after telling his friend he thinks your sexy?

Personally. If he told his friends knowing that you could hear him i automatically would avoid him. And to me opening the door is no big deal. AS a girl i have no problem opening/holding the door for absolutely everyone girls/guys/old/young - it just a nice thing to do. It doesn't have to mean anything. :)
