Why would a guy reject a girl and not like it when she goes no contact?

I got friendzoned by a guy I was already seeing and sleeping with. He met a girl and felt a strong connection with her. I went no contact and he’s still trying to talk to me and he gets mad when I won’t respond. He sends rude texts mocking me saying I’m sad. They are together and already living together. I doubt he valued our “friendship” that much.

Here’s a few possibilities. He just likes the attention of girls after him. It gives him a high. It’s also possible that he wants to keep you on the back burner for when he wants a piece of side action. It could also be that he had planned on cheating w you while he was w her. It could also be he’s keeping you as an option if things don’t work out w his current girl. He likes having that power over you. It’s the same thing women do to men. Women don’t like certain men but love the attention. Then when he moves on, finds a girl she’s wondering why he doesn’t talk to her anymore. It’s been said that a lot of women have a backup man in case their man leaves them or she leaves him.

Because he’s a scumbag and likes having you around for potential favors one day. My friend went through a similar situation, we ran into an old guy friend on a night out, they connected and started seeing each other. Never made it official, just casual hookups and hangouts, this went on for 3 years before he met someone while in another city “on business”. He strung my friend along while he dated this woman, got her pregnant, had the baby, now they’re engaged, wedding planned for next year. He just barely stopped talking to my friend this year after 5 putting her through this. I don’t even know if he’s gone for good and sad to see that she would still welcome him. Her self esteem is just so destroyed she doesn’t think she deserves better, but she does. You both do.

Were you guys friends, beforehand? If you were, he probably feels hurt that he lost you as a friend while, at the same time, not understanding how much he hurt you and that you need your space. If he’s getting defensive and aggressive, tell him if he doesn’t stop that you’re permanently blocking his number.

That's just standard self centered, immature behavior. He wants the benefits of your company without providing you the connection you were hoping to have with him.
