Would a guy reject a girl even if he likes her?

Does this ever happen… What would the reasons be?

Everyone assumes that if you really like someone then they will go for it? Even if 9 times out of 10 this is the case, what are the possible reasons a guy wouldn’t?

He's attached and sees red flags with her but would not want to be with her because she could be overly clingy and that's not worth the trouble. She COULD be influential too therefore risking reputation when she's got all the sympathy and social power at her fingernails isn't the wise move for smart men.

Women have more social influence over folk because they are treated as more valuable than men. If she says something negative about him it gets believed, his words about her is because he's bitter..

Yes because the guy could be shy afraid of rejection family and friends pressure him not to. Sometimes it's safer to reject the girl due to unfortunate circumstances caused by people in the two people dynamics. Sometimes time itself just isn't on the guys side. He might reject her to protect her from himself because he knows he's toxic. He might not want to lose her as a friend because he feels as a friend he'll never lose her.

Yes, and I think I did this by accident. I didn't realize it until a year later, but it was too late to fix my massive mistake.

as there's it's not bad to find someone attractive and gorgeous

Yes a guy rejected me recently and he told me the reason was because he has a girlf, but before I asked him, he showed me he liked me a lot.

We had lots of attraction together back in December, but then he got with his girl in Jan. He still showed an interest in me so I finally asked him and that’s what he said he had her. I didn’t know he had a girlf though until he said the other day. I do think he found me very attractive though, because he was obvious about it.
