How do guys act around girls they like?

Hi!

I was curious about how guys would typically act around girls they like. I've had guys act nonchalant, cold and unintrested and later i would find out that they actually liked me. It's super confusing! Which led me to wonder: Why do guys never show how theyre feeling?

First, many men are shy around women. Even if they are confident in other areas, women are a mystery to them. And no one likes rejection. And some women gleefully reject guys in loud and cruel ways, and not only do their friends not call them out on it, they usually pile on. Who wants that?

Second, the Internet is full of women screaming "men need to leave us alone and stop approaching us (unless he's in finance, trust fund, 6'5", blue eyes)." Guys have lots their entire career and ability to earn money because some feminist couldn't wait to make an example out of him for daring to say hello or telling her she looked nice today. And how he now makes her uncomfortable and it's now a toxic work environment.

You are going to find that you will need to show guys some strong signs of interest yourself before they are going to come up and talk to you. And I'm not talking about glancing in his direction, I'm talking about smiling and saying hello. Something direct and clear.

It's not that guys don't want girls or that they wouldn't otherwise approach, but you've let SOME women make that SO risky for men that most men simply aren't participating anymore. If you want that to change, you not only need to change your own behavior, but you need to call out your friends about their behavior too.

Should you go to college, you will be HEAVILY propagandized to about Feminism and essentially to be a man-hater. That will only serve to ensure that you never have a healthy relationship with a man - WHICH IS EXACTLY THE GOAL OF FEMINISM. You will be taught that letting the hot guys pump and dump you is empowering - but also all men are trash - but sex work is real work - but men are useless.

This minefield is what men are up against, and helps explain why so many just stay away from women. They never know who they will meet on any given day - Jekyl or Hyde.

Well first of all. When a boy us being raised. He's not tought how to like of love a girl  What he knows is what he see when is parents are interacting... sorry are scared. Which means. I said grow up to be men. They are even worse  They're scared that they're gonna fail They are scared that they're not good enough So it's hard to let a gurl in because he's too busy trying to be macho and then that equals fake. So he's just messed up all the way around.  But if he finds the courage to start talking to a girl start liking her , she kind of teaches him who and how to be. And starts giving him confidence Well, then 1 day that confidence turns into
Ego. And google start saying hi to him and looking at him the way they do  So now he thinks he is God's gift. Start floating around flirting around. Because no yes other girls give him the their attention... and it all goes to there head...  Because they are still dumb as rocks. The only thing that they have learned is that a girl gave him the confidence to talk to other girls and just because the guy might be good looking. He blows it with the first girl the second the third And as he grows into a man if he's done all the above. He still dumb as rocks. We'll pick all the wrong girls  So when a guy acts the way that he acts when he's around you. It's because he doesn't know any better. It's all a new experience to him You could be younger than him and more mature than him. All of the same time  And as a girl growing up, you know how to lobecause you have felt it from your dad from your mom from your brother from your sister. So you're just more mature all the way around So yeah, at that age, guys are lost. And if they don't find a will teach you lot of years for them to find them themselves

Some are hyper critical of everything all of a sudden, appearing a little flustered with themselves, with the girl, and with the universe at large.  Some get quiet -- like Batman quiet -- but then compulsively jump to attention to do any sort of favor or good deed for you or anyone in your circle.  Some get loud and try to be funny to get you to laugh and notice them. Some get clumsy, spilling things, tripping on their words, etc. Some avoid you like the plague bc they've no idea WHAT to do with you. It's usually to do with their parents. Depending on how they're raised will define how they will act when liking someone.

For example if a guy is raised in a household where they think showing emotions isn't 'manly' they will most likely try to cope with hiding how they feel which can lead to the 'nonchalant' boys.

Either way I feel like it's mostly to do with how they were growing up and saw love, because ultimately - according to some studies I looked at while writing papers. Children are observers which is how we know how to act and what is exceptable behavior. Therefore, the ways that parents love each other affects how we know how to love others.

Guys freeze around girls they like. Our mouths dry and words get stuck we are young and first encounters. But as we grow older we get adjusted. No matter how old we get, when we come across that beautiful enchantress we still act childlike, disoriented, either not talk or talk a lot as ways of coping with our racing heart while our mind knows that we are acting stupid. But unfortunately girls feel more comfortable around guys who had experience and are quite comfortable around girls. So its a complex cycle of emotions and at this age I'm still learning these dynamics. When one chases and the other plays it hard and it has the right balance that's the perfect dance of romance. When both chase each other that's the best. When both are shy but like each other. That's the saddest story. And many stories are like that

Never is a big word. At your age, the guys you are dealing with are just figuring it out and there's no substitute for time and experience. If there's someone you like, give him encouragement to approach you, or even invite him to do something like grab a coffee or ice cream after school. Just be clear about who's paying... lol. Either your treat or go dutch.

Guys are not a monolith. Not every guy is going to act the same. Some guys are going to be very obvious some guys are not.

Speaking for myself on the surface I don't act much different unless I pretty damn certain she feels the same. But I will do is I'll find ways, reasons to be nearer to her. To increase the liklihood of exchanges with her. She either respond more favorably or she won't and if she doesn't she's kind of making her intentions clear, or at least clearer.😆 Do maybe look for guys that are being extra chummy with you i guess?

My experience is that even if a woman starts out by checking me out, the moment I show interest in her, I get the cold shoulder.

It's as if women only want the guys they can't get, the ones that don't want them.

So in my experience, showing a woman that you're attracted to her leads to instant rejection.

I personally may get shy and even nervous/awkward, but sometimes I've been cool. I've never been cold or acted uninterested though. I think it depends on what the guy has been through. I have lost a lot of people in my life, so I tend to make sure the people who are still in my life know how I feel about them.

At your age, I did nothing yet somehow had girls interested in me

I ended up dating 2, rejecting 1 and being fought over in regards to the prom I didn't attend when I couldn't afford a Royce (before I knew people who owned them)

I still don't know if it was the money in my pocket or being skinny from my restaurant job because given nothing happened before then it wasn't me as a person

At your current age, the guy is just as nervous as you are. He's having and going through the same emotional state you are.

My go to was to try and make them laugh.

Everyone is different.

I suggest if you like a certain guy, just tell him. You'll might be surprised how well he will respond.
