Married men with female friends?

Would you stay friends if your female friend was going through a divorce? How would it make you feel? (You are not friends with her husband).

I'm not married but this honestly doesn't make sense to me. If you're a married man and friends with a women who is going through a divorce, but were never friends with her husband, why wouldn't you remain friends with her? Nothings changed.

Maybe you felt safer in the friendship when she was married.

If I was going to fool around with someone while married, her change in situation wouldn't change anything. I would have just as easily pursued my opportunity prior to her divorce.

From the male perspective, nothings changed.

Well why would her getting divorce change anything?

Would it make you feel awkward that maybe she was now going to be single? Or would you feel like she was going to make a move on you? It’s possible your relationship was a little murky for a while.

Well my assumption was because I'm already married we were just friends (and OBVIOUSLY my wife is cool with that or we wouldn't be friends). So it wouldn't matter if she was going to make a move on me. It wouldn't happen!
But hypothetically let's say I was single. Again, the relationship has already been established. We're friends! I would never assume anything more than that.

I liked women too much. I worked with women all the time, but I kept a healthy distance from them during my marriage. I'm attracted to them and I can find different things to love about women that I'm attracted to. I also loved my wife so much I would've died for her. I didn't even make eye contact with other women during that time by my own choice. I'm a one woman man.
