Yes it means he likes her. But it doesn’t mean like as in I want to date her. Let’s take myself for example. There’s a couple women I talk to a lot w at work. We laugh, joke around, etc. But I’m not attracted to them in a sexual manner, I don’t want to date them or even sleep w them. People who don’t know our relationship at work assume he likes her. She likes him. No I don’t. Not in that way. I like them because I can be myself. Joke around. I don’t have to worry about getting called into the supervisor’s office cause I said something that offended them. A lot of times they say things that might offend others. So we understand each other. These days you can’t really joke around at work, secular w women. Women wanted to be allowed to enter men’s spaces, work environments but then dictated what we could or couldn’t say. Which I don’t get. You wanted to be treated equal, to be allowed into these spaces but the minute a man tells a joke you don’t like or says a word you don’t like now you have a problem w it. So now it’s like walking on eggshells around a number of women.

He likes her. If he didn't, he wouldn't spend his time talking with her. He would almost certainly like to date her, but he doesn't know how to ask, or fears rejection. That doesn't mean he wouldn't make a good partner.

In the age group 16-40, I would say that there is a chance that this guy does like her.

Unfortunately, it's often his testosterone doing the talking. It's not that he likes her romantically, but more in a way that he would want to get into her pants rather than to be platonic friends.

I know because I have experienced that kind of banter. If you let it go far enough and that he managed to get what he wanted, you will soon realize that the banter will stop and that you will no longer be of interest to him.

That is the unfortunate situation with people that are not able to control their pulses.
