Women, do men ask you, "who did you go with or who took you?" when you show them, you did something fun by yourself? Men, why do you do it?

When I had to go to an appointment, a guy asked who took me. When I showed off what I ate at a restaurant , another guy asked "who bought it for me?" I've chalked up male strangers asking me, "where's my boyfriend or husband at?", as flirting, but some of these men were so serious about pushing me into a relationship with a man, any man.
Yesterday I went to a festival by myself, had no friends, and still had a good time. Again, I got asked who did I go with. Is this common behavior for men?
How many times have guys done this to you?

Because a lot of times, which have changed by the way. But a lot of times women who tend to post things online like fancy restaurants, trips, etc, etc, almost always have a man in the background who funded it. That’s not to say some women these days can’t provide for their self. But generally even if she can provide for herself most women still expect a man to provide for her financially. That’s usually why a lot of men ask this. Like ok who were you w. It’s funny cause I just got done talking to my brother. He went w my cousin to Cali. She didn’t want to go alone according to what she told him. Turns out she was meeting some dude she met on a dating service. It’s the same w a friend of mine who travels to Oregon. She was meeting some dude there. A lot of times women never usually travel on their own unless it’s something like that. There’s usually a man behind the scenes there. Yes not always the case but a lot of times it’s.

I don’t know maybe implying if you don’t have a man they want to take that spot. A way to make you say “oh I don’t have a boyfriend” to then open the door to…. Going on a date. But also wanting to see if you have a boyfriend first.

That’s why I assume most men are doing that. As well as if you say you don’t have a boyfriend they may feel that you’re now obligated to go out with them….

My husband never does it, but I rarely go anywhere without him anyway. However, I do hear from female friends that have very controlling men in their lives.

That is weird. As someone who is mostly alone, I would assume someone to be a dependent.
