Is it normal for a guy to hate feet? I thought most guys were into feet?

I've been with my boyfriend about four months, and it's going really well; we met at a work mixer, we work at the same company but in different sections.

I really enjoy spending time with him, he's so sweet and considerate, except for one thing.

A few nights ago, we were at his place, and he said "let's go lay down in bed and watch a movie" and I said "I want to sit on the couch so you can massage my feet for a bit first" and he just said "umm, no, sorry, I don't like feet" and I laughed at him and said "very funny, let's go" and he said "I'm not joking, I don't like feet, never have, sorry" and we had a bit of an argument because I told him that most guys like feet and giving foot rubs is part of being a boyfriend, who is in the wrong here?

I ended up going home because I was so upset, I don't know if I want to be in a relationship where I don't get foot rubs because they are an important part of a relationship to me.

Not every guy likes feet, so you were kind of in the wrong here for insisting, ever after he made it clear that he didn't like feet.

Nobody is required to do things they don't like, and that includes giving foot rubs. If that's a deal breaker for you, then you two just might not be compatible as a couple, but it's certainly not his fault if feet are something he dislikes.

Just for the sake of comparison, that would be like saying, "Blowjobs are a requirement for being a girlfriend." It's obviously not, and there are plenty of women that don't like performing oral, so they shouldn't be expected to.

I actually asked a question about this very subject. I'm, terribly sorry, but it means he isn't totally "into" you. Even if a guy doesn't like feet, he should at least find his girl's feet cute and have no problem massaging them. I'm not a foot guy but I thought every one of my girlfriends had cute looking and feminine feet and they ALL liked that fact, because they felt I was totally into them. Don't take what I said too literally, he probably is totally into you but shouldn't be grossed out by your feet.

I really want to laugh at that boundary but you know what, everyone is different. If having your feet rubbed is so important that you’d rather be single, then leave him. I’d really just say that when you do end things don’t guilt trip or make him feel bad because that’s not fair. Everyone has their limits and he shouldn’t have to be made to feel awful just because he doesn’t want to touch your feet.

I don't HATE feet but I'm CERTAINLY NOT a foot fetishist! I'd do it even for non sexual reasons because you're my girlfriend and you may be the only person who cares about and if I truly care about you rubbing your feet shouldn't be big deal. Unless they're super nasty and stinky and have calluses and corns. Plus you may have worked all day and your feet hurt and you're in pain and I don't want you to be in pain. So id rub them to relax you and make you comfortable during our movie.
