I went on a solo long weekend trip to Istanbul and ended up having this intense, unexpected fling with a Turkish guy who worked at a restaurant.
We met randomly when I was out to dinner with a friend, started flirting, talking through Google Translate, drinking Turkish tea, and it just escalated naturally. I stayed with him both nights — we talked for hours, walked around the city late at night, sat by the river, and hooked up. It was very passionate but also weirdly tender; he complimented me constantly, held my hand, walked me home, and said he was sad I was leaving.
After I got back to my country, he messaged me after a few days saying he was thinking about me and asking how I am and asked for my Instagram, and stayed in touch on and off for about two weeks. The conversations were friendly and flirty — he asked about my life, sent photos and videos, even pics of him and his family. I wasn’t emotionally invested and didn’t expect anything serious; it was just a fun, casual thing.
Out of nowhere, after normal conversation and nothing bad being said, he suddenly blocked me.
That’s what’s confusing — because he was the one initiating contact, asking questions, requesting photos, and keeping the conversation going. I never asked for more, never pushed anything, and didn’t expect it to continue — so being blocked so abruptly makes no sense to me
