Why did he block me?

He's my ex but we are good friends. We would talk on the phone once a day... I called him this morning and we had a great conversation. He mentioned that I didn't call him last night. I told him that I was tired. So today he call me around 5pm and I missed his call, I was in the shower. I called him back and he block my number, he also block me on his Facebook. That really hurt me because everything was going good. I feel like getting one of those text now numbers and call him... or make a Facebook account... I'm confused. I didn't do anything to him...

I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to contact him, like with another number, Facebook, etc. after I’ve been blocked. The action in itself is very finalizing, and sends a strong message that you don’t want that person contacting you. I agree, it sounds really random and like you didn’t do anything to warrant it. You missed a phonecall that you weren’t expecting, like it happens, you’re human. Who knows, maybe he was just overthinking, but in any case I think this is for the best. I think having to cut ties would’ve happened eventually anyway when one of you got into a relationship. Already the whole guy/girl best friend can be uncomfortable for some people, but the fact that you’re exes and pretty close, I could imagine one of your s/o’s not liking that.
