I think it is more complicated then that. There are way too many men and women to pretend it accounts for more than a very small margin.

In the cases it does apply I believe men going east typically do so because their perceived value goes up. Not only are they seen as more attractive, what they have to offer is. Country alone can be almost enough sometimes.

In the case of women it is more complicated. Women are also single more than ever before. I will readily acknowledge there are some societal issues in regards to women and dating. The easiest way to explain it is that since I was a kid, since any boy was a kid, we are told how to treat and not treat girls. Do this, don't do that.

I can't for the life of me think of a single time my sisters wer ever told how to treat a boy well or right. Not in any old outdated inferior way, but how to best contribute their half of the relationship. How to relate or be there. Normal stuff.

Luckily women are generally bright enough to solve it anyway, but society is not helping much. And the societal focus or lack thereof I think is a reflection in itself to an extent.

So western men who can't attract a partner here fly to impoverished countries? Men from those countries don't go to western countries because they have little to offer.

Yes, Western women have a big stigma problem that they bring it on themselves by their terrible behavior and their disrespect and rage towards men.
