So I need clear answers. I'm very confused about this coworker. He always flirts with me only. He playfully teases, wants to be next to me, asking me questions when he doesn't have too, observing what I do and making comments. He also thinks I'm smart and impressed by things I say. Then one time we talked he said he's not emtionally available but wants to try. He tells me his personal life like deep personal stuff about his past. The only confusing part is he does this at work and then I'll text him simple stuff. He will tell me he saw the text but wanted to speak face to face. So he doesn't respond at all. Why? Is he just flirting because he's at work bored or is he actually flirting? How can I get him to reveal his true feelings? Also I've tried not flirting at all and ignoring him then he starts it. So we do this everyday and silent on weekends. Last thing I gave him this affirmation sign because he told me he wanted me to motivate him. And he reads it everyday when I gave him the gift he side hugged me. Which he doesn't like hugs. so its very confusing. I just want to know is everything in my head or is there an attraction between us.

This guy is only trying to get into your pants and nothing more. He is not interested in your personality or character. That is not important to him.

He is willing to get you into trouble to satisfy his need to bother and disturb you while in the work place. If he wants to flirt with you, then he should do it elsewhere than at work. The employer does not pay him to divert his attention from the job he is assigned to do.

You should tell him to stop acting so childish and to refrain from getting you potentially in trouble.

I believe his is psychologically unstable and has issues with narcissism.
