When a guy who clearly cared about you suddenly becomes calm, distant, and stops pursuing you, what goes through your mind?

And if so..

Have you ever realized you had feelings for someone only after they stopped being available?

Sometimes stepping back has nothing to do with losing interest, and everything to do with respecting yourself enough not to stay in uncertainty.

Sometimes two people understand each other without ever needing to say it out loud.

And sometimes distance doesn’t happen because nothing was there
but because it mattered more than people realize.

First, I would think that he finally gave up on trying to get what he wanted and that he realized that there is no chance that he will ever get that booty, isn't it @Abbycado ?

The question that comes up to my mind is how does he care? Is it that he is interested in being physical or just "simping" in the hope to get a reward.

In most cases, the fact that he stops giving a girl attention is because he simply gave up on her seeing that his chances are not very high.

I am in the fortunate situation that this situation never occurred to me.

I would take it to mean they are no longer interested, which is probably best given that in that scenario the girl clearly isn't interested.
